The history of The Pedal House

We first opened our doors to the public in June 2014, having spent a few months converting the premises from it’s previous use as a furniture store. We are very fortunate to be in a lovely 14th Century building with heaps of character (and apparently a resident ghost!).

Originally, we established ourselves as a Pinarello Concept Store - a focal point for Pinarello bikes in East Anglia. Over the years we have gradually evolved and added to our Pinarello offering, and have broadened our range so that we have great options in all bike categories. However, we have always stuck to our principles of offering quality brands and products which we believe in and use ourselves.

Moving into the
E-Bike Revolution

A great example of the expansion of the shop has been the introduction of electric bikes over the last couple of years. Whilst we continue to be known for our expertise in road bikes, we have gradually grown the number of E-bikes instore and we now have an extensive range which are all available to test ride.

Not just sales and spanners with us

We are very keen cyclists ourselves, but our working backgrounds are actually quite diverse, and from day one our key focus at The Pedal House has been on providing a really good level of service, a welcoming atmosphere and knowledge and expertise to help people find exactly what is right for them. Fortunately this has helped us develop lots of great relationships with our customers, and created a lovely ‘social’ atmosphere at the shop - you will always be greeted with a smile and a warm welcome at TPH.

If you are yet to visit the shop, we hope you can plan a trip to Hadleigh to give us a look. It’s a lovely Market Town to visit, with plenty of other independent shops, coffee shops, restaurants etc. Please feel free to give us a call on 01473 828129 if you need any more information at any time.

We hope to see you soon.
